Well... my adventure into the new to me Fiat has begun with some electrical gremlins. Horn didn’t work, turned out to be the fuse needed to be reseated (PO just said it was broken). Rear pass tail light was out, connector on driver circuit board was hacked with some solder and no longer passed power to pass side, fixed that up. Turn indicators always on fixed with a new relay. Some random bulbs here and there that all were just corroded.
Last thing remaining are the wipers. Relay is clicking away when then arm is turned on. Wipers don’t move. Is there a way to check them without pulling them out or any other ground that may simplify the repair?
Also have a mystery connector on the passenger side near the coil.
Thanks I advance!!!

Re: Mystery connector and wipers
The lone wire in the black connector is a test wire connector for the fuel injection system. It only connects to the diagnostic machine which very few people own and even fewer actually need. Not related in any way to the wipers.
I would pull the cowl off which carries the wiper mechanism and motor. I would then pull the linkage off the motor to see if the rest of the mechanism works without binding. I would then test the motor when not attached to the rest of the mechanism.
It never hurts to clean and lubricate the mechanism periodically.
Many change the wiper system to a paired relay system that makes the switch carry a minimal amount of current and yields a significant improvement in wiper speed.

Re: Mystery connector and wipers
Thanks for the reply Karl!
I was able to clean off some of the grounds and get some noise coming out of the wiper motor but still no motion. Not going to test any further until I pull the cowl as suggested and take a look at the linkage and everything apart. I've seem the replacement motors on autoricambi and other vendors if needed for a replacement. I'm just glad that power is heading that way and the wiper switch is functioning. Learned that nothing is happening with the windshield wash pump, so that's another mini project.
To tack onto mystery wires as I'm learning about my Fiat. There's a bundle under the dash near the steering column. Is this the pre-wiring for power windows?
Also found a random spade connector that was unplugged from the temp sensor on the radiator heading up to some newer looking wiring from the PO. Plugged it back and taped it up and going to make sure the electric fan kicks on when expected.
