Show and Tell (Took The Spider For A Spin

A buddy of mine and I took the top down On the Spider and took a ride through some back roads to the town of Vernonia Oregon today. Last year the town was mostly under water with flooding , but today it was high and dry and warm .
I was in one of the local pubs having a beer and who walked in was the towns most recent Hero .. His name was Dwayne and he was one of the loggers on AX Man which was on the History Channel this past year .. We had quite a long talk along with the 5 beers I bought him ,,,and He is the real Deal and what you see is what you get.. LOL ,,,So after shooting the Breeze for a while He okayed me taking his picture so If by chance any of you watced the Ax -Man series ,,then you will recognize him even with his eyes closed .. Dark Taverns is not a good place to flash a camera on a guy..

Now there's more if you can stand it .. I also took a picure of Vernoia lake along with my Spider in it to make it legal for the forum ... and this lake is a famous lake in our parts because it was a mill pond for a lumber mill back in 1961 and they made a movie there called Ring of Fire ( which Jonny Cash sang and starred David Janssen ) They burned the old mill down in the movie ..

So this is my show and tell .. hope at least a couple of you remember the movie and maybe some of seen AX man ..papa

That's an interesting story. I haven't seen the show you mentioned. If it's not on cartoon network, then I'm lost. You're car looks good!

i generally have trouble remembering to bring the camera. those are usually the days when something cool happens.

Maybe it's because I am from the northwest and this is where the AX Man was filmed but I am suprised that not many people have seen it .. It's the History Channel for goodness sakes . LOL in fact this Dwayne says that his picture is on buss'es over in other countries ... It would make a good cartoon though ,,lots of funny stuff went on ..

I have seen ''ax men'' on tv,although I dont remember Dwayne.It was a good show ,but not quite up with my favorite..''Deadliest Catch'' I never miss an episode of that! I am glad to see that you got your car out of the lake!!

Yeah ! I cleaned all the swamp weed and cow lilies off it before the picture though.. Can't have a dirty Spider for show and tell can we ?.. LOL papa
