What's in your tool collection?
I'm bulking up my tool supply now that I actually have a car I can work on, looking for ideas--I hate having to stop in the middle of a repair to go to Sears.

Re: What's in your tool collection?
There has been an attempt to demasculinate the male of the species this country in the past few decades. That game is not played here, that is why the #1 tool in my garage has and always will be the garage calander!

Agree with Mike. Since I purchased my Fiat, I had to go out and buy a whole other tool chest to put everything in. So now I have to two tool chests and they are both completely full!

Denise, I could send you my old 2007 till you get your calender in.
My favorite tools (well...not technically a tool) is a pair of Mechanix work gloves, along with a 80 gallon compressor and a MIG welder.

Re: What's in your tool collection?
I keep one of these in my tool box, so people can ask me "what the heck are those?".
I've only used them on aircraft. But prefer to using my hands rather than this tool actually. Anyone seen em' before?

Re: What's in your tool collection?
KillerB,
My dentist has a full set of those. Big ones for the molars, small ones for up front! ;>)
I've never lockwired anything on a Fiat. Maybe I should have -- once, the lower alternator bolt worked its way loose and fell on the road somewhere. It never would have happened had it been lockwired.
My favorite specialty tool is a set of digital calipers. I use them quite often. I don't know how I ever got by without calipers before!
