I have found not one, but two ketchup packets in my engine bay so far.
Which instantly conjures the mental image of an obese mechanic leaning plaintively over the hood, chewing on a Carl's Jr. 6 dollar burger and grumbling about Italian car design.

Re: The odd things you find under the hood
Speaking of weird things under the hood, we found a bra in the engine compartment being used to keep the air cleaner together on a car we were working on. Don't worry, it was dead.

Boys, being from Arakansas, I can get you all the possum you want. But down here we really prefer armadillos.

I am a bit curious, aren't possums rodents?

Re: The odd things you find under the hood
A common mistake. They are actually a marsupial.
I grew up on a small dairy farm in Washington state. One morning when I went to get the feed for the cows there was a possum (dropping the "o" is an acceptable aphesis, or dropping the first syllable) in the bin. When I asked my dad what to do, he said "kill it, we'll eat it". So I did, and we did, and it tasted very good.

since you're so adventurous, maybe Denise will send the bra and along with the ketchup packets you'll have a real meal

I learned something new. I thought all marsupials had a pouch. I guess the rat like tail threw me off. Just found out that koalas are marsupial as well.rlux4 wrote:A common mistake. They are actually a marsupial.

Hey, possum stew is a favorite around here and not too hard to come by if you scrape the critter off the road in time.So Cal Mark wrote:since you're so adventurous, maybe Denise will send the bra and along with the ketchup packets you'll have a real meal

True, Denise. I once saw a Roadkill Recipes book! I can't remember if Possum stew was in it though. Mmm, mmm, mmm.

I have seen possums from a distance, never had a close encounter even though I live in S. Florida!
