So Cal Summer run.

Post by rlux4 »

Hopefully, everyone in the So Cal area has read of the get together being planned. In particular, I'm wondering where in southern California you're located Nicktheviking. If it's near the LA area you should plan to come with your car, you'd have a group of people who could check it out for you. Two, as a matter of fact, who make their living working on these cars.

Cecat! I've been wondering where the devil you've been. How are you? There was someone a while back trying to get ahold of you, I'd have to look it up, I can't remember what it was about.
We may have it this weekend if it comes together. No more than the following weekend I hope. I'm itching for a get together with the gang.

Thanks Ron, everything is good, been involved in the mini scene, but also itching to get Spider out of the cobwebs. When will you know, and where do you think it will be planned. Thanks George

Well, if you can't make it the 6th, then the 6th is OUT! I am fine with getting things organized, but I'll need feedback on what day(s) are best for everyone. First off, is this weekend too soon to get organized?
For me, either a Saturday or a Sunday is fine.
Alvon? Mark? Eladio? George? Anyone else? Let me know. rlux4@dslextreme.com

I'm ready any time. What I'd like to do is get as many people involved as possible, so we'll see if this Sunday is good for the others.

That's right, Monday is a holiday. When you're self employed you forget.
It's looking like Sunday, now we need to hear from Cecat. And hopefully more will join in.

Here's how it's shaping up: We hook up at Valencia with the guys from the south, head over towards Ventura and hook up with Alvon. From there we take a drive up the coast and a side trip up a nice hill that heads away from the coast then goes back down to it again. At some point, we head south again to Ace's for a BBQ, bocci ball, and I happen to know, he has a hot tub if anyone is in the mood.
Ace and I will be talking this evening and ironing out the particulars, so check back, but at this point we'll probably be meeting in Valencia around 9:30 if that's OK with the southern gang.
George, do you think you can make it all the way from your place to Valencia by then? :D

OK gang! We're zeroing in on a plan. We will meet up in Valencia at 9:30. George would you call me, 661-946-3581 eves. and 661-618-3468 cell, to suggest a good meeting place there? We'll head over the 126 to Ace's in Ventura. From there he and I have what looks like a really neat route planned out, part mountain roads, part beach drive. Do the drive, end up a Ace's for the eats. If you think my potato salad is good, wait until you taste my BBQ'd chicken!

Guess I'm late to the party!

I'm located in Santa Barbara.

This weekend is out for me, unfortunately. :(

I've only got Saturday off and we have to attend a family event. Maybe next weekend?
