Finally settling into a new week leaving another Freakout as part of history. The ride home took 12 hours, close to 600 miles. Freakout 2017 takes place next July in Milwaukee WI., about 1000 miles from Montreal. Discussion to come with phaetn and 4uall. In the meantime here's some momentos from Detroit:
Abarth then and now
Canadian enthusiast imports Seicento from Italy
Fiat 126 (I believe an award winner) driven across Poland and UK and shipped across Atlantic in order to attend:
This 85.5 Roadster Salon Spider won first place in its class. I got a chance to speak to the owner who is a super nice guy. The car is really beautiful with much attention to detail. Yes there are folks who buy them!
A "bit of rain" (ok, a 2 hr soaker) didn't shoo away most folks:
[gurl=http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/snogo ... a.jpg.html][/url]
Ramzi's new heavily modified 124 also brought home an award:
The parking lot parties, car talk, and good people:
Featuring Ramzi and Csaba
Featuring Jon and Leslie Logan:
Featuring Hillary, 2013 Abarth owner,
Award winner, phaetn congratulations!
Featuring Denise Burchette:
Peter (kilrwail) takes some voltage readings.
Adjusting stuff:
Jon Logan's foot at $75.00/hr. Other foot has not been billed to date.
Featuring the airhead slut (she was seen galavanting in at least 3 different Spiders)
My stash: black bag is all spare parts for use for myself or anybody else in trouble. The Rotella, well that's a different story.
Nite out:
Yuck!
My buddy phaetn who turns out to be an awesome roommate often passes me during the journey and waits for my thumbs up, making sure I'm not cruising while asleep.

Re: FFO 2016
Two of my favorites from FFO16
This one has me thinking that I need to make room in the driveway for one more Spider. I've always dreamed of having a daily driver Spider that would not be irreplaceable should someone run into it.
Mine is the yellow one in the forground. The Positano Yellow one in the background won the 'Early Spider' class.

Our trip home was uneventful. How about yours? Hopefully everyone made it back to Ontario ok and the border crossing was not too bad. It sure was good to meet you guys. I wish I had more time to hang out with your group. I don't think that I had a chance to take a good look at your Spider. It was my first FFO and I think I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of cars to ogle.
