I am in the process of rebuilding the 5 speed manual transmission in a 1979 fiat spider2000 and have a couple questions,
1. the Front counter shaft (layshaft) bearing that was in the transmission is the SKF 633022 ball bearing. looking at Auto Ricambi website the one that is labeled for that bearing is bg6-466 $129.90 is this correct? it doesn't look the same. is there a place to buy the SkF 633022 or is that not the right bearing?
2. The reverse idler gear and the reverse gear has some tooth wear on the both of them. but what is your thoughts on whether its excessive. cost for the gear is $140.00 and idler is 40.00 so this is why I'm even debating this. i have not had any issues with reverse just fixing a few other things with the trans.
any help is appreciated.

SKF has not made those bearings in a long time...

thank you for the reply, I did find a place in France that sells that particular skf bearing (123 Brearings)
but went with the one from www.spiderroadster.com
as far as the reverse gear I have a spare transmission and am going to pull the gears out of it and inspect them to see what the wear looks like on that gear, and evaluate the two side by side. i assume that because reverse dose not have a synchronous sleeve to help it engage the wear is a common sight.
