Brake hose removal tricks?

Does anybody have any tips/tricks for removing a very stubborn brake hose from the brake line fitting?
I've tried PB Blaster to no avail.

Vise Grip make a mini pliers (with a head designed to really support a hex nut) that works like a charm. Midwest Bayless has one in the tools section of their website.

You can also try a plumbers torch for about ten or fifteen seconds.

yes i pull the clip and push it up just enuf to grab with vicegrips
then one more pair of vicegrips on the line nut
but dont just turn it off make sure you arent twisting the line"it will break"
if the nut wont spin on the line then remove the rubber hose and spin it instead

One of each pliers would be ideal since the hex nut of the flex hose is bigger than the inverted nut of the brake line.

I have a set of the 7's and yes the 4 would probably be better for the smaller fittings.

Flare (aka line) wrenches are great until you get a nut that's really stuck. Then the flare wrench can sometimes flex just enough to let the nut spin inside, rounding off the corners. The vise grip can hold it all just a little tighter, which can make the difference between success and failure. I'd prefer to use the flare wrench whenever possible, but the vise grips are available when I have a nut that just doesn't want to come loose.

There are different quality flare nut wrenches with some being so springy that you sometimes need to use a pair of Vise Grips to keep them from spreading and messing up a stubborn flare nut.

A high quality set of flare nut wrenches in both metric and standard are a good addition to any tool box and are not for nothing.

I used flare nut wrenches in the past but I had a friend tell me to try and tighten just a tad before undoing. Perhaps the threads break enough to make it easier to undo.

Worst case, you can cut the hard line. I had a really stubborn fitting, tried PB Blaster, flare nut wrench, some heat. Nothing worked.

I was overhauling the whole brakes anyways (lines, rotors, pads, caliper seals) so I just cut it and made a new hard line
