My fuel gauge light does not work. I have had the tank nearly empty and it does not come on. The fuel sending unit in the tank is new. Is there a a disconnected wire that may be causing this? Or is it the gauge itself?
Thanks!

Re: fuel gauge light
Did you check the light bulb in the gauge? Also make shure the gauge ground is connected.
Re: fuel gauge light
I will check the bulb. I assume that if its the bulb it can be replaced? Are you refering to the ground on the back of the gauge or elsewhere?manoa matt wrote:Did you check the light bulb in the gauge? Also make shure the gauge ground is connected.

Re: fuel gauge light
check to be sure that both the wires on the sender are clean tight connections.
Re: fuel gauge light
What I can tell by the schematic, the wire coming off the gauge ( red ) goes to connector under colum, turns grey/red and goes thur two more connectors to the sender. One connector is at the lower dash above your left foot in the corner, and I guess the last one is in the trunk. It gets its ground from the sender. Theoretically, if you take red/grey wire off the sender and ground it, the lamp should light. If it does not, backprobe a ground at the colum connector on the dash side, no lite, its a bulb or poor connection ???
