How do you install a fuel tank sending unit?

I have a new fuel tank sending unit. It seems straight forward. Anyone have any tips or suggestions from past experiences. Any help is appreciated as always!

It really is straight forward. Just clean the area surrounding the unit before you remove the old unit, so that no crud falls in to the tank when its open.

Don't smoke, look into the tank using a lighter, no campfire around...

p.o.c.

use compressed air to blow off the area first. make sure you mark the two electrical connections, so you remember which one goes where come installation time.

use a magnetic parts tray to set your fasteners in, so there's no chance of them rolling into the opening.

have a couple of rags handy, and you are good to go.
