Car Covers

Post by vdesigner99 »

Greetings! I was wondering if anybody has recommendations on car covers. I am located in north California and am in need of a car cover. My 2 car garage currently has a 20' boat in it so my 1984 Pinin has to stay outside. Its been fairly dry here so I'm not worried of too much moisture, just sun. I did buy a 5 layer car cover from CSC Sports Inc on eBay. But its falling apart for the third time. The first time it lasted 3 months before the sun turned it to white powder. The replacement lasted the same. So they finally sent a 3rd replacement, well it lasted 1 year, now its useless. I was thinking of going to a local Miata car dealer so see what they have. I know that the sun will eventually destroy any cover but 1 year?

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Years ago I bought a " Noha" from IAP. cover the car with that, move the boat and park under cover. Boat is supposed to get wet :)

An aluminum car port to park the boat under and save the garage for the car. Myself with just a one stall garage and too many projects I am considering a car port awning to protect the car.
