I have a 5 speed transmission without the bell housing. The bottom pan, the bell housing and the shift extension all fasten to the transmission with studs not bolts. The other transmissions I have seen all have bolts in these positions. I think its for an older Spider but I removed it from a 1981 parts car. Also there is a switch above the fill plug that is not on the 80 transmission. I want to use the transmission in an 80 Spider 2000. I don't know if the bell housing from the defective transmission can be swapped to the spare so I can install it in the 1980.
