Seat tracks - philips screws or bolts?

Post by bluespider262 »

Hi,

I'm working on undoing PO's bad choices.

Should the fasteners for the seat tracks to the floor pan be machine bolts with philips heads or regular hex head metric bolts? I have two philips machine screws in the front, one bolt in the rear that appears to be wrong, and one corner with no fastener at all. I think the odd bolt in the rear is limiting the rear travel a bit and if I could get another inch or two that would be great.

Phillips head ones available new. Later Spiders had allen-head bolts, but they are interchangeable.
