How easy is it to over tighten the connection where the center hose goes into the T ?

Not very, but easy to cross-thread. Where is it leaking?

I am almost certain that I did not cross thread it. I installed it by hand and used the wrench for the last turn only. It leaked right where it goes in so I tightened it more. This connection does not need a copper washer, right?

I just removed a spare T from another rear end and looking at it I am sure I overtightened it with that big wrench for the hose. Defenetly no copper washer needed.
