Power Antenna

I have Googled and searched Vicks but can't seem to find a power antenna replacement for my 82 Spider. I have found a universal telescope one on Ebay but would like to put the power one back in. Any suggestions? I searched the site but still no luck.

I used a universal from my local auto store, worked well enough, it is switched from the head unit, only that the antenna is too high for my liking.

I bought one from Moss Motors for my Miata a couple of years ago. It is one of the smallist ones I've seen and is fairly low.

Crutchfield has one that just fits.

I picked one up at Autozone that should work. I didn't have time last night to try and install it but will give it a go this weekend.

reviving an old thread, looking through some electrical diagrams there is mention of an auto antenna switch. Where was it located?? I have never seen one??

In the area of the center console where the radio mounts there is a connector that would be used for a panel mounted power antenna switch. The connector has 6 cavities. 2 cavities have 2 red/black wires 1 has a dark blue/red and 1 has a light blue/red. The red black wires should be "hot all the time" from fuse 9. The other end of dark blue/red and light blue/red can be found on the driver side in the trunk for a power antenna.

you can use these wires to put in a panel switch for the antenna ...or ... stereo should have an output wire that when connected will power the antenna so when you turn on the radio the antenna will go up

I'm sure I've seen the connector (I currently have mine done automatically) however I have never seen the physical switch or where it would be placed? All electrical diagram show the connector but no switch??

I think the antenna goes up and down automatically, wired into the radio on off power source. No switch required.

Blue red (or blue white, or both) I think, in the trunk you'll find the wires (if it has them). One of them you'll find the other end behind the radio.
