Tutto Lite at The Larz on 9-27-14

Post by RRoller123 »

Tutto Lite is coming up shortly at The Larz Anderson Museum in Brookline. Unlike the August Tutto, this one is judged by the attendees. The last 2 in a row have been rained out, so many of us have never been to this show! Let's get a good turnout, and hope for cool, DRY weather.

Great! I expect it to be like the summer one, but without that terrible heat that we always seem to get on the field there!

So anyone else going to this? I couldn't make the August show but I will be attending this. I noticed it's on a Saturday instead of the usual Sunday--looks like we got bumped by a Mercedes show. Pete, I can show you my new upholstery job.

Will be good to see you there, Don! I haven't been able to get out much lately but will make this show for sure, as long as the weather obliges.

Well, I may have to scrap this weekend. Car popped two alternator belts. Found the lower mounting bracket on the front alternator housing is cracked and the alt wiggles all around. Have contacted Mark Allison for a replacement housing, but my guess is that it will be impossible to get it here before the weekend. Was so looking forward to making the trip

Just wanted to say what a nice low key event this was. Enjoyed meeting folks from the Forum. We had 6 Spiders and a couple of 500s forum. Representation from Maine (Kevin and Jim), New Hampshire - (didn't get the lady's name) Massachusetts ( Pete and the new owner of a sweet looking 72) and Debbie and I from Rhode Island. Jim took home the Fiat Spider prize -well done Jim. Weather was great, conversation was even better. All in all a very nice day. Glad we went

Vesper desperately needs a paint job to be even close to looking like these other folks have their cars maintained. Looooong way to go.

Yes it was a very nice and quiet event. Glad to meet you and a few other Spider owners too! I think if they hadn't made a last minute date change the attendance might have been higher. But the weather this time was perfect, and I was happy to sit quietly in the shade, eat lunch and chat and nap.

The Spiders were the single largest population represented by far!

This Tutto was light - but that turned out to be a good thing! We all had the chance to spend time just visiting and talking with other Italian car owners about everything under the sun. Got to meet some great people, and hope to see them again on our Maine Fiat Weekend next summer.

If anyone is thinking of a fall drive in northern New England, now is the time. The colors are approaching their peak this week!
