new seats

Post by dmwhiteoak »

I have acquired a new set of custom built seats. I call them new but were built 6 years ago but never installed in the show truck that they were built for. They are not bolted at the moment just a good tight fit. That's the problem, they need an inch taken from the width in order for them to slide on the rails. They are leather and very comfortable. Those stock seats have not near the ability to smooth out our east Texas roads. here are some pics. What do y'all think?

Do they look to big for the car?

What we think matters none.
You got them in, they look good.
Are you happy with them is the real test.

I like them very well. So well I hate to pull them out and do the modifications to them. But I will to get them bolted to the seat rails. :D

as long they fit and the top operates, they shouold be fine.

they may restrict the size of the passengers you can carry in the rear seat, errrr package shelf. instead of amputees 3 feet tall, you may only be able to accomodate ones 2.5 feet tall.

I had a girl straight out of Mahatten (that could count the number of times she has even been in a car ) folded up in the back seat last weekend. Those legs were a mile long and with a quick glance that's all you cod see. She had no problem and a ride she may never forget. Not really concerned about leg room. Maybe just the wife.
