Hello ladies and gents,
Im now at the final stages of my resto, the only thing holding me back now is the seat belt mounting locations.
I have a pair of inertia belts but im struggling to come up with the best location to mount them on the car.
If anybody has any suggestions and more importantly photos or illustrations it would be much appreciated.
Thankyou in advance for your time!

Re: Seat Belt mountings
I have a 1969 AS Spider. It originally had lap belts which im tempted to replace but would prefer inertia / shoulder belts for added safety.
Re: Seat Belt mountings
us "newer" spider owners have the inertia coiler located behind the rear seat upright (seat back). there is a mounting bracket built into the bulkhead there.
without that built in bracket....wowzers!

Thanks again guys, you always reply to my questions so quickly. Just to be awkward though is there a chance you could post a photo (or illustrate) there locations, im wanting to get them fitted this weekend as its a national holiday.

Re: Seat Belt mountings
Hopefully these will help,
1981 Spider, it appears originally the reels were mounted vertically on the support, however a new piece of metal was welded horizontally and new reels mounted on that surface.

Re: Seat Belt mountings
YIKES! can the back seat still go in over those corners? I think the best thing for me to do is to drill and mount on the back wall and run the belts through the back seat rest.
