Weber Dgec?

Hi guys. Does anybody know anything about a Weber 34 Dgec? My boss has a brand
new one that was purchased for a Mazda b2200 several years ago. From what I can find, it was sold by Weber
Carbs Direct who is licensed to produce "Weber" carbs and it is built by Solex. I do not see this
exact carb on their website. The throttle lever moves the same direction as my dmsa that I
photographed for comparison. If anyone knows if this thing I worth having, please let me know.

It should work. I am pretty sure that carb is no longer made.
It is a bit of a misnomer, as the DGV series of carbs is a mirror image of ours, but Weber Carbs Direct does some strange things... it is not a real Weber carb, but it should not matter.

I remember coming across those when looking for a cheaper option for a 34mm performance carb. They are a popular conversion carb for Jeeps and the rebuild kits are still available.

I just found this 34mm carb that looks almost like a 34ADF. The linkage rotates the same way, automatic coolant activated choke, idle solenoid, etc. The ebay store "carbpartsdirect" is actually Pierce Manifolds out of Gilroy CA. I'll bet it would bolt right on a 75-76 with no modifications. I think the two large ports on either side of the base of the carb are to direct coolant through to heat the base as the Simca Talbot intake manifold might not have had a water jacket to heat the manifold. You probably can just cut them off.

For $180 its a great deal. It just needs the fuel inlet drilled and a port inserted,or drilled and tapped for a screw in fitting. However that port may be the fuel inlet. If I didn't already have a 34ADF I'd buy it just to see. Although there is not much info on the carb and no rebuild kits available, I bet the rebuild kit from a 32ADFA would cover most or all of the needed gaskets/O-rings.

Those are interesting. I REALLY need to stop buying and Hoarding Fiat parts, but it is tempting.
