Carb tuning with "Colortune" gadget

I just finished setting the mixture on my carb with my new colortune gadget. The thing screws in like a spark plug and has a glass window for viewing cumbustion. A yellow flame is rich, blue is correct, lightblue is lean. You don't really need it to set the mixture, but it's fun to mess around with.

That's a pretty cool gadget. I imagine you'd have to test all plug holes to tune IDFs.

Yup. They sell them bith as single or in a set of four. Especially with the IDFs it is a fantastic thing to ensure proper adjustment.
And thanks for the reminder.... after having fixed my exhaust I need a leaner mixture.... and with the colorTune it is a fingersnap to adjust it right (if you don't have a CO-meter). I'll dig into the special tools area to find it...

Denise, you and Ron must be doing something wrong. I found out a long time ago that when you're in business, there's a sure-fire way to avoid paying income taxes. Don't make any money. I've tested this theory, and it works.

Yeah, that's usually how we operate, but I thought I'd try something different this year.
Mark, I got hit big time with self emplyoment tax this year. I think it's time for us to incorporate. Either way, Uncle Sam is getting his share of the pie.

True Mark. My plan is for avoiding income tax though. I'm still working on self employment tax!
