by closing the choke, you're enriching the mixture. That indicates a lean condition from either a vacuum leak or a restriction in the carb. Try loosening the idle cutoff solenoid about a qtr turn. That will unseat the idle jet and let fuel around it. If that makes the engine run, remove the solenoid and blow through the jet and idle circuit with compressed air

Thanks Mark, I will try this later this week, but I think what you mentioned should do the trick, maybe the jet is dirty somehow, perhaps when the carb was turned over or something dirt particles must have gotten dislodged and caused some
blockage.

Let's hope for the best...

Mark.. You sly fox, yep sure enough I removed the idle solenoid and it had some residue in the center hole, blew it out and installed it again, and it started up and ran just great... Thanks a mill
