exhaust cam seal leak on 72 spider 1608

Post by bsx »

I just rebuilt my 1608 cc to correct leaking head gasket, installed new gasket kit, piston rings, valve seals etc., just got it going and I now have leaking cam seal on exhaust side, was told by my parts supplier that its a well known problem and it may continue to happen even with a new seal,Im a little reluctant to put same seal in from same supplier, any ideas? :?

My opinion... I'd change both seals.. Take the cam towers off, pull the cam out change the seals put back together and adjust if required the clearances . Good to go untill the next issue pops up.
