Ask me how I know... It was actually a friend back in the day who had his front-wheel-drive car up on stands (front only) and in gear but didn't put the e-brake on or chock the rear. He undid the drive shafts to do some work, and with the pulling, you can guess what happened. He was pinned under the car, broke a rib, screamed for his wife who called the FD and got him out. Turned out ok (sort of) but he could have easily been killed.

wow no kidding, when i was younger 58 i am now
but at 20 ish and of course cocky and drinking id take out 4 speeds tranny with a single jack holding the car up , no stands, we used bumper jacks , once in the mid winter outside,:) young and not bright lol
