Re: front end things
I ordered all my parts in including shocks from Autoricambi. The service was great along with any advice you may need. The price wasn't bad either.

Depends on what kind of shock you are looking for. Koni Yellow, KYB? What price range? What application?fiat218 wrote:where do u get the good shocks from online

Re: front end things
You might want to consider just replacing the complete upper and lower CA's. That way the bushings and ball joints are already included. Got mine from Chris Obert a few years ago. http://www.fiatplus.com

Re: front end things
I let my mechanic replace my front end parts which I ordered from Auto Ricambi. Tie rod ends, center links, bushings, everything in that line. I had my mechanic do it because you will need a front end alignment afterward. My mechanic uses a computer alignment, which contains Fiat Spider specs. He also checks the rear wheel alignment just to ensure they are true, not that you can align them. He allows me to stand there and watch.
I would never order anything from IAP. They took 6 weeks to get 2 brass hub nuts to me and they are only one day standard UPS shipping from me. When I called up to find out where my $7.00 parts were they actually argued with me and were quite insulting. FINALLY, after several calls they took my advise and re-shipped the parts six weeks later, which I received the next day and two days before the original order arrived (not on back-order either).
Auto Ricambi - Yes!
IAP - Boo!

Re: front end things
I REBUILT EVERYTHING .... here is my take.... if i would have had the money i think i would have replaced the arms that come loaded with the ball joints allready.. but i did not... buy moog ball joints... tie rods and such atouricambi..lots of bushings under there... go ahead and get em all... did get my sport springs from iap... while it is all out check cross brace for cracks and tighten everything up..for me over half of the bolts under there were just past finger tight... went ahead and rebuilt calipers and new soft brake lines whiile i was at it,,pretty easy... i am sure others will chime in... several vendors for what you need... lots of fun and man what a difference it will make in how she drives.... oh yeah ..as soon as your done.. get to the shop and get an alignment
