Ok.
I would have to list this as the no 1 least favourite jobs on any car, let alone a spider.
Awkward place, no room for "human hands" and you need to be double-jointed so you can imagine my dismay when after barely 4 years I was driving with burning hot water dripping on my foot! (we are right hand drive here in Oz...) Yes the blasted heater tap has failed me.
I'm not happy. Long gone are the days when you "demanded" Originale Fiat. Now we have to make do with inferior rubbish.
So Can anyone please tell me if you have come across any brilliant heater valves?
Its not the money, its the bloody awkwardness and limb achingly torturous positions that I'm not looking forward to.

Re: Heater valve/tap
Csaba and Ramzi have the ceramic type ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Premium-Heater- ... 3371d19589 ) I didn't see it on their website but found it on Ebay. I have one in my car and am very pleased with it. The only problem is that the angles of the pipe connections are slightly different so modification will be necessary. Most people cut the pipes off in the cabin and use hose to go through the firewall. This may not be an issue for a car already modified to right hand drive.
No rubber diaphragm to disintegrate. Nice.

Classic Ricambi (eBay seller) is not associated with AutoRicambi (Csaba & Ramzi).
