Do I need to flare the ends of the new hard lines?

Post by Fiat88 »

Having trouble flaring the ends of my new SS lines , which are harder to flare then I thought, should of went with regular soft steel! Don't have the right flaring tool anyway. As I'm running a carb, do you think I could get away without flaring the ends and just using two clamps? Thanks.

I've done that before, and it lasted for many years and never leaked. I used two FI style clamps.
