anyone who is in the Norcal area that hasn't been to this show should try to make it. Well over 100 cars plus a bunch of cool Italian bikes and scooters

there are usually a few folks from the Sacramento area that attend. one guy brought a very old Lancia down a couple of times. You can make it! just get underneath the thing and check everything out well before you take off. a nice highway trip is great for the cars.

I'll be there, but not in the Fiat. Taking the truck so we can fill it up @ Ikea after the show.

Not sure yet what I will bring. People like to see my old Abarth Allemano Coupe there. I brought the 124 last year. I am going to try and bring two cars if I can find a friend who can drive one.

Re: All Italian Car and Motorcycle show October 9 Alameda CA
Anyone have an 28/32 ADHA carb that they can bring to the event for someone whose carb took a dive and can't be rebuilt?

there are better choices than that tiny carb. I have a brand new early 70's Weber somewhere I am not using. its probably a 28 36 with manual choke.

Re: All Italian Car and Motorcycle show October 9 Alameda CA
Thanks for the offer Andy. Due to emissions laws, I'm trying to stay stock. If I can't, Mark Alison has a new replacement carb with electronic choke that I'm considering. I'll keep my options open. If I had my choice, I'd pull it all and go EFI or with the 1800 intake and carb. Given our crazy smog laws here in California, I'm stuck with a stock carburetor.
Thanks again! I really appreciate the offer.

Most wouldn't have a clue. The 79 carb'd Spider is a pain in the behind to get to pass emissions testing under the Smog Check 2, so I take it to a Fiat mechanic who can do pre-test and adjustments to ensure it will pass. He'd notice in a heartbeat that it wasn't the stock carb. The test only stations wouldn't have any idea if it was right or wrong.
Thankfully, I found a rebuildable ADHA today IN TOWN! I just got done cleaning it out and rebuilding it. I'll put it on the car tonight and give her a trial run. I couldn't have been much happier to find one less than 20 miles from home. Whew!
I think I'll buy one or two as spares.

It was a fun day, wasn't it? I posted a few more pix in the Off Topic Social section. We probably met, but I'm terrible with names. I had the silver Spider, tan interior, top down with the reproduction of the factory MSRP/Monroney sticker on the passenger side window. I absolutely loved your car!!! You did an amazing job on it.
