No I'm agreeing with you. The statement "you just do not understand a global economy" is usually spouted by anyone in control when someone complains about the trade imbalance with certain countries.

Kills me when I have no choice other than cheap Chinese crap or mediocre Chinese crap; can't we make even mediocre crap in this country anymore?
PS I bought an old school Sears advance light on eBay.

"Kills me when I have no choice other than cheap Chinese crap or mediocre Chinese crap; can't we make even mediocre crap in this country anymore?"
Exactly my point. Example: Chinese import junk to American market. Goods made in America can't compete, so America lowers its standards of quality to compete. American made "cheap" goods are still to expensive, or quality is only marginally better when compared to Chinese goods, so consumers still opt to buy Chinese goods. Even American manufacturers who still insist on quality of production are having a hard time as most domestic producers of raw materials have gone overseas. You can't build quality with substandard raw materials. Stanley tools used to be known as good quality, now look at them.
People need to stop shopping with their wallets, and shop with their country. Voting for elected officials does not work, but shopping with your wallet does. But in a down economy where everyone is struggling, its extremely hard not to opt for the cheap option.
The Chinese are hell bent on unseating the USA as the world supper power. They have been waging an economic war with us for the last 20 years or so. The amounts of money involved make the Iraq and Afghanistan wars seam like chump change. The wife who has a PhD in Economics and has been to China several times heard it strait from the horses mouth. "We (China) despise America, want the yuan to be the world standard of currency."
Sorry to get this thread so far off topic, but this has got to stop. I still stand by my previous statement: "50/55 idle jets would be about right."
