Hey everyone,
I was thinking it'd be fun for us all together sometime this summer here around town. I've run into a couple Fiat owners as I was driving around the '79 and they couldn't have been nicer. Depending upon how many of us meet up I was thinking Carl's on 38th near west of Federal would be cool. It's an old Italian joint with AMAZING Chicken Parm and Shiner Bock on tap for super cheap. Just a thought!

I'm in!
Name the date and time and I'll be there. Looking forward to meeting other owners in the area.

That's Carl's! It may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.
Jerry- Cool, I'll let you know when we get a few more together!

I'd still love to get together with some local Fiat owners soon!
Is anyone thinking of attending the big car show at the Arvada Center this Sunday? It's 99% American cars, but there a couple hundred of them. Proceeds benefit the Children's Hospital Burn Unit. My wife and I live right next door so we can run to my place for A/C and a beer or three.
Also, if anyone is thinking of entering let me know! Just got someone to buff the oxidation out of the Spider and, holy s***, what a difference. Maybe the Pantera guys will let us park next to them. =D

It's a small body shop next to the shop I work out here in Wheat Ridge. I honestly don't know they're name (really small, like 2 dudes), but Alex is going to give me some business cards so I can pass along his info. I'll try to post some before/after pics.WYSpider wrote:What company did the buffing in Denver?

I think this is a fun idea. At least Fiat owner will be able to get to know more of each other. I also want to see different Fiat auto parts these days.

This sounds like the start of a good thing. I hope Tom at Aspen Imports is finished with my engine by then. There's always the Cars & Coffee in Lafayette on the first Saturday of the month. 'Been there twice this Summer and have yet to see an older Fiat.

I've never heard of Aspen, they look fantastic! I'll have to cruise by in the Spider at lunch time soon.
Again, anyone attending the car show at the Arvada Center tomorrow? Let me know!

I'd like to propose a really stunning drive for Front Range Fiat owners next Summer. We could meet in Masonville, Colorado in late morning and drive Stove Prarie Road to the Cache La Poudre River on Colorado Hwy 14. There is a picnic area on the river that would be a nice lunch spot. Round trip distance is thirty-six miles and could include a short side-trip up Rist Canyon for another ten or so. There is very little traffic on this road that has to be one of the best kept secrets in Colorado.
Folks I've driven just about every foothills road from the Wyoming border to Denver and this one is my absolute favorite. Some of the turns are ten mph. You don't need to go to Germany and drive the Nordschliefe. We've got our own version right here. The route is all recently paved and travels through beautiful Ponderosa forests. It would have to take place during the warmer months because having the top down is a must for this narrow winding canyon.

That looks like a great ride--and not too far from home for us. Hopefully my car will have some fresh paint by next summer.

As a plus someone might even get an offer for their Fiat. This June I was traveling the road and stopped to layer down. A guy on horse back offered to trade his horse "for that little Italian machine you got there."
