low pressure sending unit
The P.O. installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge in my 80 fiat spider.. is there a way to reinstall the low pressure oil switch and keep the mechanical oil pressure gauge

Re: low pressure sending unit
There are two ports on the oil filter block that can be used, one on the back side, and one on the front side. Usually the rear port is for the low pressure sending light and the front port contains a brass plug. If the PO used the rear port for the mech oil pressure gauge then you can use the front port for the low pressure warning light. Your local auto parts store may have the sending unit. Just make sure to tuck and secure the wire as its close to the "V" belt.
