Key Question

Post by Kev659 »

I have a 79 spider where i recieved the ignition key when i purchased the car but do not have the door lock key. I am looking for a 124 or 2000 key number so i can purchase a blank and get my locks all working. Can those of you who have a 79 take a picture of the key with the number on it so i have an idea of what i am looking for? Or tell me the number so i can order one from vicks.

Thanks

On one side, my door key says SILCA Italy.

On the flip side it has:

AF
4D

arranged that way right next to the hole.

Hope this helps - note mine is an early '80 (build date Oct '79).

it cost me $2 at the local locksmith for them to cut new keys for my Fiat. They have them in stock. You may want to check with your locksmith. They can cut a key from the trunk lock. I had to have it done when I accidently layed the keys in the trunk and shut the lid.
