Hi guys and girls. When i start my car in the morning it starts fine and idles fine but when I try to drive it I can tell the air intake is increasing but the fuel injectors are not increasing the fuel. Once it warms up the problem goes away. On a related note when accelerating it is slower to accelerate until about 3000 rpms when it feels like it hits a power surge and takes off. This is a little subtler than my morning problem. Also maybe related is a mysterious miss that I cannot seem to find the source of and when it is cold my car idles at around 100-300 rpms but when it is hot it idles at around 1500 rpms.
I know, alot of problems but can anyone help? I have been thinking air flow meter or throttle position sensor but wanted to check here first. Also I replaced the Oring on the idle adjustment screw but that did not change my idle issue even though the old one was disinigrated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Whatever the problem is I went from 22 mpg to 17.5 when it started. HELP.
P.S. I went out and started it and took off the connector for the throttle position switch and it made no difference in the idle or acceleration. It runs exactly the same as with it connected, shouldn't there be some difference?

I don't know about the throttle sensor,once set is usually good to go. Check Brad Artiques work on the fi,there is a bit on setting up the throttle sensor,you need a ohm meter though.
The other stuff ???? don't know where to start Check electricals , one of my plugs were cracked making the engine run poorly. Dist ? everything there check out? Gap on the pickup and rotor? Vacume advance working? pull the hose off the plenum and suck and see if the arm moves the plate inside the dist.If the electrical checks to your satisfaction I guess fuel..
How many miles on the car? perhaps air getting in around the injectors... seals worn? If the lines are old,might think about replacing them. Mucking about might generate a crack and at 35psi the fuel would spray on all things that can create a fire.
I honestly don't know but perhaps fuel pressure reg? Are all vacume lines on and sound. Some check the rubber intake for cracks by spraying (CAREFULLY) something combustable around it while idling. If there is an increase in rpm then you have a crack...no good. O2 sensor.but when its not working I think it kind of defalts to an average setting.
Bottom line i guess ist to check one system out at a time. I was lucky in having a parts car and could swap stuff out,but in the end it was usually something simple and once sorted the FI is running great-touch wood-.
