Is there any economical way to change the rear differential ratio? I'd like to make my car more of a freeway cruiser with what we used to call taller gears. In other words faster speedometer speeds with lower revolutions per minute on the engine.
Anyone done this or looked into it?

cheapest way is to swap in a rear axle from an automatic car, that'll give you a 3.58. They sure don't accelerate as well though. Freeway rpm of 4k is okay in your Fiat, that puts you right in the middle of the power curve
