Engine: Difference between 1979-1982 CA, non-CA

I've been spending time reading the differences between MA, CA, and all other state emission regulations. Its sounds like theres a big difference between these and this causes a big difference in BHP in the motors. My engine is not stock or at least it doesn't seem to be. Its has 4-2-1 exhaust and the carbs i'm not sure are stock either. Does anyone have pictures of these two different engines and any ifo on the major diferences. I will post some of my engine pics tomorrow for comments.

the engines themselves aren't different. Once FI was standard on all 50 state versions they were the same, except for the vacuum advance curve.
