Uno Turbo brakes conversion

Post by vasek »

Hi,
I would like to improve front brakes and use for this UnoT intercooled disc brakes with slightly greater diameter (240mm) that still fit under 13" wheels. So I would like to ask if somenody have experience with this conversion. I already have UnoT front brake set, so what else I need? I suppose that some spacer - adapter plate for brake calliper holder is neccesary, longer brake lines?, wheel spacer??
Thx.

The items you need for the conversion are: Uno turbo front brake rotors, Uno turbo front brake calipers, and a mounting bracket. The bracket is the only custom part of the setup and should not be hard to fabricate or have made. The existing rubber brake lines and wheel spacers will work with the calipers and rotors.

I know the calipers and rotors will just fit under 13" Cromodora CD-16 wheels, I don't know if they will fit under the stock steel rims.

Performance Fiat previously owned by Val D. was the supplier that sold the kit. Val sold the business shortly after start up to other buyers. It is now renamed Classic Ricambi, their website does not list the kit for sale, so it is unknown if they are still available. Since Uno turbo Fiats were never sold or imported in the US market, finding the rotors and calipers is difficult, unless you know someone in Europe that can buy them and ship them over. Shipping on the rotors is not cheap.

Send me an email regarding the caliper mounting brackets matt.scarton@gmail.com

Thx for reply. I would like to fit UnoT rotors under 13" Cromodora CD30, so It should be ok.

I'm from Europe (sorry I'm just update my profile), so It's very easy to buy used complete set UnoT brakes for less then 100€. So the only thing that I need is to fabricate mounting bracket.
