Hey everyone, I am trying to figure out what this cable was attached to also what it is for. I believe it goes to the empty spot on the lever but does anyone have a diagram or picture of that area so i can have an idea as to what i need there.

Kev659--- glad you made it to a chat room where you can get real answers.... i see that since i've left that other forum, not much has taken place. the moderator (who never owned a spider) is now acting as the technical guru over there?
that spells frustration for anyone that is looking for advice.
do you have an automatic transmission, or has this throttle linkage assembly been transferred over from another vehicle?

Re: dissconnected cable
Yes i do have an automatic transmission in the car. Yeah on the other forum usually some of the guys are very helpful while others just give a diagram from the book which i already have. I really just need a visual drawing or a picture from anyone who may have a similar car. It looks to me like the cable goes to where that open hole is on the bracket. It may be connected by a screw with a hole through the middle for adjustment.
Re: dissconnected cable
that is the kickdown, or detent, cable. On the Spider tranny that cable hooks into the passenger side of the trans and normally comes over top of the engine and connects to the carb. It's an important part of the tranny operation
Re: dissconnected cable
Now will the spot where that connects be easy to find? What does it do?
Re: dissconnected cable
Still Looking for a cable pin or hookup for the kick down cable for the bell crank. Any suggestions on where i can get one?
