How do I fit these rear cover things?

Hi All

I wanted to know how I should fit the fabric 'covers'? which attach to the bottom of the rear window frames. I think they might tuck inside the plastic rear arch covers however there would need to be a lot of 'slack' material when the top is up as they cannot retract into the rear arch wells. When the top is down they would stretch over the window maybe.

I can't seem to work out what these are for, can anyone help me out.

I can't really tell you what they're for, but I can show you how they're supposed to look when the top is up. They're too stiff to hang neatly.



I think the idea is to protect the inner surface of the glass when the top is down.

Thats them, is the end of it tucked in between the black plastic arch liner or is it hanging free.

I always thought they were there to guide dripping rain water into the plastic containers on each side where it would drain out thru the drain holes.
