hi guys this is the second time i have typed this as i forgot to press save **** so here goes again ,i have a 1979 spider 2000cc auto calif import .it came in to the uk as a scrap car. i have never worked on a car before ( allways had company cars) so my tech skills are low, but i bought two books and a hammer so as you guys say i am good to go....

jobs done...brakes,front bushes, suspension springs (the car went up 4"when i removed the bumpers),fuel lines,service,replaced small bits of rusty floor (plates n stainless rivets low tech) rear sway bar

jobs to do...remove emitions, replace the carb and inlet manifold, replace exhaust manifold for a 4.2.1, timing belt ,then take for a mot test so i can drive the car.

then drive to france and the fun starts

oh i live nr derby in the midlands
