Lancia 1800 manifold, will it work?
I purchased a manifold from a Lancia montecarlo 1800. It looked like all the other single plane Fiat manifolds in the pictures that I have seen. When it arrived, the carb mount looks smaller than what I expected. I am sorry to say, I am fed up with the FI as I am on my second '81 model. I know that it works when everything is right but I am tired of chasing every little wire. My question is did I screw up by buying this manifold? I think I have found that the original carb was a 34 datr. Will all the other Webers fit? If I can make this stuff work, I am going to sell my extra FI parts including a brand new air flow meter to offset the cost of the carb. Also, I have seen pics with an extra plate under the carb, what is the purpose of that?

Re: Lancia 1800 manifold, will it work?
hi jcook,
this won't work in a spider as the engine is not mounted in an upright position in the montecarlo - see: http://www.lanciamontecarlo.net/Monteca ... /sue04.jpg - so the manifold will not allow the carb being upright in the spider which will result in several problems e.g float level. I'd look for another manifold, sorry.
ciao,
Stefan
