G'morning from Calif!

Post by Nora »

Hello, all!

I don't know much about Fiats - only that my husband has been wanting one. So I'm here to lurk and learn so I can help him on his quest for a '75 orange spider.

I'm hoping to find one for him by xmas =) And the more I look at pictures, the more I think he may get stuck with my VW while I drive the Fiat!

Now, that is thinking! stick him with the Dub and you take the cool car.

course, you could always get hiz-n-herz ... just a thought (i did, and it cuts down on the bickering about who gets to drive)

Hi Nora,

Welcome to the site. Why a '75? Did he have one before?

Hello =)

Back in college he had a beat up orange spider. One of the fenders was green, the door was held shut with wires .. ahhh the good 'ol days!

I've been questioning him on what he's looking for, and I think his reason for the '75 has something to do with smog rules. His range for what he's looking for is '75 - '78 and I know he'd settle for red.

I just hate to see him settle and I am really hoping that he finds exactly what he wants.

We're located in Walnut Creek - it's in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I've already mentioned his & hers Fiat's. We have 3 VW's, and I'm willing to give up one, but I dunno if I can give up two to make room - even if the Fiat's would take up less space =)

Thanks for all the nice responses! There's lots of intersting information here! And I love the pictures!

Hi Nora,

I'm on the other coast, New Jersey, and I'm looking too.

Zeroing in on a color for a 35 yr old car is a challenge. I think I'll settle for any color other than "rust".

I'll tell you what, if I find an Orange 75 I'll let you know, and if you see a no-rust 72 tell me about it.

GOOD LUCK.

Hi Nora,
Keep looking until you find what you want. Welcome to the site. Lots of friendly helpful people here. Try and find on that has little or no rust. Good luck

Doug,
When are we going Fiat shopping again, George
