On the rear suspension Can anyone tell me if the Spiders/Coupes are supposed to have spring seats on top AND bottom of the coil as my 73 Spider is without spring seats on the bottom. (ie, spring sits directly on the axle - metal to metal?)
Thanks

Re: REAR SPRINGS question
Maybe somebody thought it would be a simple way of lowering the rear of the car
As far as I know, spring seats were fitted as standard to the top and bottom of the springs in both Coupes and Spiders.
If you can't find a pair up in Sydney, I've probably got a couple you can have down here.

Re: REAR SPRINGS question
Thanks Mate,
Yes you are right as I have found a drawing in the manual.
I will get back to you re: those seats if I can't find any.
I am going to put some coupe springs in mine, as it sits a little lower on the RHS.
Hopefully this will improve the ride (a bit choppy) too.
(Lack of spring seats maybe...?)

Re: REAR SPRINGS question
I may be wrong but I think the coupe springs are a higher rate given that it actually was intended to carry four people.
They may end up raising your car.

Re: REAR SPRINGS question
He is just looking for the spring seats not the springs kmead. The seats should all be the same.
