Carb number for Weber 34

Post by eddy314 »

I need help. I recently bought what was supposed to be a Weber 34 off Ebay and when I received it the number on it says 32ADFA. The seller insists it really is a 34. Does anyone know what number is actually stamped on a Weber 34? Did I get ripped off? Thanks

the number is stamped on the base, so you got a 32adfa

well, did you have your heart set on a 34? does the 32 ADFA work well? what did you pay for it?

wanna sell it? i might be interested in buying it. a 32 ADFA works quite well on a modified two litre. but, keep in mind i have no current use for it.

i believe the number you are looking for is a 34 DMSA for a 1974 only Spider (stock). the 32 ADFA was stock for 75-78 Spider, and works great with a 1800 intake on a two litre.

so, yeah... technically you did not get what you thought you were gonna receive. and, technically, i guess you got ripped off. too bad. who is the seller?

Or maybe you were looking for a 34 ADF? If that's the case, I can tell you that mine has that number and model stamped right on the base. I'd file a claim if you paid using a credit card or Paypal. Sounds like you got taken...

What did the photos in the auction listing show? Were you able to see a model number then?

Thankfully the seller finally admitted his mistake and has promised to refund the $162 I paid for what I thought was a 34ADF. We should keep an eye out on Ebay to see if he re-lists it. I'll probably go with a 32ADFA on my 2 litre since they are more readily available.
