Here are some of the things I did to banish the dreaded electrical gremlins from my spider after I got it. James Seabolt on Miraflora wrote an excellent tutorial on this which I tried to follow, adding a power/ground distribution system from the battery to make adding relays easier. I apologize for the dirty engine compartment - it will get scrubbed prior to the engine getting put back in; also the specks in the pics - the ccd in the camera has been radiation damaged and needs replacing.

Im afraide something would burn before the 150 A Fuse goes. Generally fuses are rated at 120%. Starters will pull 200 to 250A. We use a monster crimping tool at work for the larger gauges.

The 150a fuse is for the run to the engine compartment, if the batt cable gets skinned/contacts the chassis, it will go before there's any damage. My starter pulls less than 100 amps cranking.
