Hello from out West ...in the East

Post by arancia72 »

Been many years since we've had any kind of a Fiat and like most Fiat owners we've had many. Yet after six years of being absent from the Italian car scene we are back in with a recent acquisition off the "Bay" , a 72 124 Spider in its original Orange regalia. see photos at http://imageevent.com/xfactor/124orange - for now you know as much as I know - until I know more.
I'll keep you posted

Hey, Lavin... Looking good, man!

i tried to talk to that seller about that car while it was up for sale. he must have been having a bad day, cuz we couldn't communicate.

i wish you luck. Let us know how it performs when you can.

Welcome to the forum Arancia. Well, it certainly looks great. If I had to make book on it, I'd say whoever took that kind of care of it, probably kept up on the mechanics also.
Congratulations on getting back into Fiating!

Welcome Lav, nice to see you with another Italian ride.

Love the choice and the color.

We'll all be looking forward to the skinny on the very complex light installation inside the grill the previous owner alluded to. :)

Thanks Karl,

I look forward to seeing your 69 SC out and about this summer - Post some photos if you can.
As crazy as it seems and I have been known to be, I am planning to fly out to CA and have a look at this puppy. If she wants to run 2400 miles back to our house there will be a photo essay in the making.....Lav

Glad to have you join us, Lav. That has to be my all time favorite color on the Spider and it looks like you ended up with the best year too! If you're interested in getting together with other Fiat folks, let me know. We've got an event coming up in Winston-Salem, NC the end of June that may be of interest to you. Check it out here:

Thanks Guys - we are looking forward to this event - we used to exhibit our X1/9 at the Best of France and Italy and Concorso Italiano in CA yet we have been looking for a close easterly event here in NC - glad to have you turn us on to it!
Pictures of our modified 86 X - wish we still had it - Does any one know the whereabouts of this car? The last I know it went to Ohio and that was about six years back. http://photos.imageevent.com/xfactor/19 ... ge/SF1.jpghttp://photos.imageevent.com/xfactor/19 ... ge/SF2.jpg

Nice looking X. If anyone in Ohio would know where it went, I'd think it would Matt Brannon at Midwest X19. He's planning a trip to NC to pick up three of my X19s. Hopefully he'll make it in time for the Fiatfest.
