Hi! My name is Paul. I live in the Southern Tier of NY. I just purchased a 1977 Fiat Spider. It has been in storage for the past 19 years. I don't have a lot of details but it must have been air conditioned storage because the rubber, hoses, convertible top, etc are all still soft and supple. There is some body work to be accomplished and the engine is bound after all those years but we are attacking the job as time allows. My goal is to have it drivable for the FFO in August. I'll get some pictures loaded as soon as I can. This forum is great! I know I'll need the invaluable info and advice as I go on.

Hello Paul and Welcome,
Some gorgeous two-lane up your way; I always looked forward to driving to Watkins Glen for the USGP every Autumn.
Nineteen years, huh? Must be an interesting story why someone would do that sort of thing.

Here's the promised pictures! I hope I did this right... There's some rust but not too bad... And look at that 19 year old BRAND NEW roof!

Welcome to the group Paul. That's a fine looking car you have - doesn't appear to need much! You can use the Photobucket edit features to shrink the pictures to Medium size, so we can see the whole picture. Have fun

That came out of storage in great shape. I always wonder what prompts people to put one of these fun cars away and then let it sit for ages.
