Apparently I've wanted a Spider for about 20 years and I just got one. My dad had an 82 when I was in high school and I just got a 83 Pininfarina. I'm not particularly handy with cars so I've been reading what I can from this site.
I live about a mile from where I work and rationalized that a spider could almost be a practical means of transportation. It may not be that practical, but at least it's fun .
I appreciate all those who post on this site who know way more than I.

I live in the mountains in Blairsville, north of Atl.There are some very qualified and knowledgable people on this site,I would be lost with my car w/o their help.I do know of some part sources and mechanics in the area if you need them. There are a couple other owners in Decatur,Lawrenceville,etc..One more thing,we must have photo evidence of your ride,so post some pix when you get a chance .Also, big event in June http://www.flu.org/carolinaflu/

Dwayne,
Welcome to the forum. I got the family Fiat finally passed down to me in July 08 - It's the car I wanted when I turned 16, but my dad was smart enough to wait another 24 years before passing it on. As you can see in the photo album link in my signature, my 74 is currently undergoing a pretty extensive refurbishing. This forum has been an invaluable resource to me. You should be able to find the answer to any Fiat related question you have from the other fanatics here! I'm in Decatur, so we're just a short drive from each other. We'll have to get together and go meet up with Craig in the mountains when I get my Spider put back together and back on the road.
