I was looking at my manuals and I see the wire between the alternator and the starter, but what guage is the wire ?
Mine is in really bad shape and need to replace it ( melted insulation and such ). This isn't the first wire I've had to replace, the car must have had a bad short at one time.
Thanks

Mine is 6 ga. You can measure the conductor diameter (conductor; not conductor + insulation) of yours and look up AWG here:

I've had good luck purchasing larger-diameter wire and accessories from this guy: http://www.evsource.com/. He sells Marine Grade wire; very resistant to grease, oil, etc. The 2 AWG I bought for remote battery relocation is as supple as cotton rope.
