I’ve had my ‘81 Spider for less than a year and its taken about 10 times as much time and twice as much money as anticipated to get it back on the road. I just got it mostly roadworthy and registered and have put about 200 miles on it. My 10 year old kid likes riding in it, and we’ve had some ridiculous fun just cruising around. So I’m also on another forum, and I suspect I’m not the only one on both. My car was originally a Legends turbo, but the turbo is toast, and I removed it, for now. The car was parked since the 90’s and is and still has a lot of things that need sorting out. I worked on cars for most of my career (trolley bus electronics now days) and fondly remember working on the old cars, including the occasional Fiat. At some point the original Fiats began to disappear from our customer base, so I was excited when my old boss asked me to look at this one, which I ended up owning.

Hi Rob,
and welcome! First of all: Your Ex-Turbo looks really good and individually named "Turbo"? Are you planning to reinstall the Turbo equipment?
The worldwide Register actually counts 267 Turbo and Ex-Turbo Spider!

California was and actually is the State with most reported Spider, see here:
https://www.fiatspider.de/register?Fahr ... California
From these 1269 cars are 193 from San Francisco and the SF Bay area!
It would be great to include your car, if it's not already listed. Thanks in advance!
Cheers Ralf
