Just joined after browsing for a few weeks. I currently own a 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV. I have owned Fiats in the past, a 1976 124 Spider and a 1980 131 Brava. Both cars were very competent and quite a bit of fun. I'm looking for a new project, hopefully, a 1971-1973 Spider. I'm not sure where I want to take it. Looks like a very lively group here with plenty of great advice, very much like the Alfabb forum. I think I'm really going to like it here. Looking for any and all advice. Thanks.

Welcome to the site! I have always admired and desired certain Alfa models, including the GTV and '67-'69 Spiders. Where are you in California? You will find lots of company in the Fiat community, from the Bay area to LA. You are lucky enough to live in a state where many Fiats have survived, so it shouldn't take you a great deal of time to find a nice one (unlike here in the Midwest where most Fiats rusted off the road many years ago).

Welcome Rocky, good to hear from you. The first time I drove my Spider in to work to show it off my partner was very impressed. His comment was, "That's very nice, but I've always wanted an Alfa Romeo." Hey, it's all Itallian.
This is a great site for comraderie and support, glad you found us.

hey, welcome. we won't hold that alfa against you.
Looking for any and all advice. Thanks.
well, the only thing i can offer until you find your new dream car... is take anything an '82 Spider owner says here with a grain of salt. They THINK they are "all that". the rest of us know better.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's a really strong Alfa area. The only time I see any Fiats these days is at the All Italian Day car show in October. Lots of 500's and spiders.
Mark, I've visited your site and am really impressed with what you do. We need to talk. Maybe you can direct me to something down in Southern California. You probably have a better selection of cars there. Thanks, again and I hope to have something soon.
