wierd ignition issue- maybe
The car was running good. I had a leaky spark plug and a coolant leak. The coolant was allowing me to see the bubbles from the the spark plug. I used a some more water to check all the spark plugs (engine was not hot). after replacing #4 spark plug i ran the engine. It ran rough and wouldnt rev right. It bogs down from 2-4k. In the past after washing my engine it wouldnt run right so i would let it sit over night and it would be fine in the morning. no such luck. I have replace the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and distributor. It now idles pretty well and when i first start it, it will do a couple of revs fine but then bogs down in middle revs. revs good from 4-5k. I cant figure out what it could be. PLease give me some suggestions.

could be water in the injector connectors? Remove and blow with compressed air? Possibly the vacuum advance hose is off the barb under the throttle plate? Could be a bunch of stuff. Check the adjustment of the throttle position switch. With the engine off, you should hear it click just as you advance the throttle from its idle stop position.

Re: wierd ignition issue- maybe
so the car has been sitting in the AZ heat for a week. Nothing has changed. I swapped the coil , Disconnected the throttle position sensor, oxygen sensor, thermo switch, cold start valve, aux air regulator, and checked all the injector connections. I know it wont run without the temp sensor and air flow sensor. Again it starts and will do a couple fo good revs but then bogs down in middle revs. I hope one of you has an idea. Im at a loss.

Can you smell gas at the exhaust pipe when it stalls out? May be that one or more of the injectors are leaking badly, flooding the engine?
My car tends to flood when hot, while just sitting, which causes a hard or no re-start condition. Implies injectors leaking into intake manifold while engine off but with residual fuel pressure still in the rail. I resolve it by pulling the air tube, and using my shop vac to purge the plenum for a few minutes. Then it always starts right up.
I have a brand new set of injectors that are going in shortly.
